Maplestorm

To be born a clan cat would've be the greatest thing ever to Maplestorm, but alas her life didn't quite work out like that. Instead she was known as Jade, an alleycat who hung around the twolegplace by the edge of OceanClan territory. Her life was hard, but she had friends who loved her and a brother she adored. 

Life became significantly harder after the arrival of Jet, a brutish tom from outside the city. He was ruthless in his ideas about gaining power and authority among the alleycats and soon extended these ideals to kittypets. Her brother Chestnut was caught up in this, having been very close to Jet before he had truly become the insane maniac of today. In the chaos, Chestnut was killed by Jet, who had began to call himself Slash. Jade was distraught over this and vowed never to speak to Slash again. She succeeded for a good few months, hiding out with kittypets and spending her nights in the forest, away from Slash's claws. But this couldn't be forever.

Jade was captured by two of Slash's cronies, Jawcrusher and Spinebreaker, as well as two of her housecat friends. She escaped with her life, but was forcibly recruited into the gang; her only other option being death. It was then that she met Sedgefur, then Felix, brother of Slash. Below his tough exterior, he was everything Slash wasn't. The two got on well, although Jade had issues with his unwavering loyalty to his menacing brother. Her life was tense, but she found happiness in the little things. She hadn't the heart to tell Felix about the death of her brother, but found she needed to convince the tom, almost her mate, of his brother's treacherous nature. Felix didn't take it well, but gradually a rift seemed to form between the two. Jade formulated a plan to escape from the gang and live in a nearby town. Felix was reluctant at first, but eventually came around to the idea. Slash must've noticed this, as he then almost killed Jade, leaving her body abandoned, the same place he had killed her brother.

Jade hadn't expected her body to continue breathing, but she was awoken by a friendly yet unfamiliar scent. She would later find out that this cat was Embercloud, of OceanClan. Her injuries were serious, Embercloud wasn't sure if she would survive. But she pulled through. Having no contact with the gang for weeks, she assumed the others must think her dead. Her heart ached for Felix, but she was warned and eventually forcibly kept away by warriors from the clan. There were rumours about a fierce cat that had joined the gang, a brother of Slash. She hadn't wanted to admit it, but she knew it was Felix. This was later confirmed when her former lover tried to kill Embercloud and later, Sealstar.

Jade felt as if her heart would never recover. She officially joined OceanClan and was given the name Maplepaw until passing her warrior training less than a moon later. Named for her unpredictability, Maplestorm proved to be a strong warrior. She still had not forgotten Felix, but his memory seemed to hurt less as time passed. Until he was found, clinging to life in the same clearing she had been found moons ago.

Long story short, Felix joined OceanClan. Many of her clanmates were wary of him, rightfully so, for a good many moons. She forgave him instantly. Maplestorm is proud of herself and of Sedgefur for making it to the place they are now. Although the journey was hard, the destination was worth it.
