Locations
The Coast​
The coast of the ocean is what gave OceanClan it's name. However, it is rare that a cat will go our of their way to visit there. The coast is almost always cold and only medicine cats will go there on occasion to collect moonshells. One other group of cats that travel there frequently are ones who are in love. Daisies line the edge of the coast in spring and many romantic types will bring their loved ones there at this time. Many apprentices are warned away from the coast, tales of cats gone missing are almost always blamed on the coast.
The River​
There is a long river that snakes through OceanClan territory, occasionally breaking off into creeks or forming temporary ponds or pools. The river is the main source of food for the clan and is often the first place apprentices visit. The river flows down from the hills and mountains in the distance and, based on which part of the river one is at, it can be very cold. The river also attracts other forms of prey which the clan can hunt such as squirrel or the occasional rabbit but most cats prefer fish.
The Forest​
The forest is a quite thick in most parts of OceanClan's territory and a cat can usually find many types of prey here. Although most do not stray far from the river, some cats are brilliant at climbing the tall trees to reach all types of birds and other prey alike. During leafbare, the river often floods and small creeks form in the forest that lead to pools known as Moonpools. A Moonpool is extremely precious to a clan and many cats will never have the privilege of sleeping besides one to communicate with StarClan
The Camp​
OceanClan's camp is by a clearing near one of the deepest sections of the river. Kits are warned away from there although there have never actually been any accidents or fatalities. In newleaf the camp comes alive as daisies form around the edge near the nursery. The warriors and apprentice den is inside hollow tree trunks at the edge of the clearing. The elders den, medicine cat den and nursery are between fallen tree trunks, the medicine cat den and nursery being adjacent to each other. The leaders den is up in the tallest tree in camp and cats are only allowed to enter with explicit permission from the leader.
Other Areas of Interest
SeaCliff & CavesHighTrees
The seacliff and caves are further up the coast than many cats are willing to travel. There are numerous caves dotted along the cliff that only few know about. The caves can be used to get to the beach below to gather moonshells, but only a fully trained medicine cat is allowed to do so. The caves also harbour other creatures, many of them not-so-friendly towards the clan.
HighTrees
Only the most experienced of warriors dares to climb the HighTrees. Apprentices typically do not even visit them until they are at least twelve moons old purely because of the snakes that are known to hide in the area. A senior warrior may be able to take down one of these snakesbut most do not bother. The prey around HighTrees is usually only birds up high in the tree tops, not worth it for most. Hardly any sunlight reaches the forest floor and many choose to never visit.
The Great Oak
The Great Oak is a giant tree that is thought to predate everything else in the world. Climbing its branches is a great feat that will always be used to gain bragging rights among younger warriors or older apprentices. However not all warriors dare to climb its tall branches as many have returned before with injuries, sometimes incapacitating, preventing them from becoming warriors
