Sedgefur

Sedgefur was born a kittypet named Felix and lived most of his young life inside a twoleg den. With one older brother named Jet, he lived happily with the twolegs for a time. This all changed when he and Jet were separated from their parents unwillingly by the twolegs. Felix wasn't overly happy, but he endured the shift and eventually adapted to his new life. Jet, on the other hand, went slightly insane. After escaping from the twoleg den, he set out to find his brother and formed his own gang along the way. When Felix was 'rescued' by Jet, now calling himself Slash, he was pressured to join the gang and eventually gave in.[

Life in Slash's gang was very controlled and structured. Felix knew what he needed to do each day and how it was done. He fell into an almost inescapable monotony of daily tasks including terrorising kittypets with other members and chasing alleycats from their claimed land. This all changed with the arrival of Jade, an alleycat. Jade was unlike any cat he had ever met, she wasn't afraid to stand up for herself and her beliefs. She was forced to join the gang, but it was clear to most that she wouldn't be there for long.

Felix found himself falling in love with Jade. They spent much of their time together, something that was noted by Slash and cats were sent to keep an eye on them. Jade brought many new wonders to Felix's life and a sense of belonging that he had not previously realised existed. She showed him through the forest to a clearing of daisies, what would eventually become the OceanClan camp. Their love was passionate, but it seemed it had also become a ticking time bomb. Jade asked Felix to run away with her, and he said yes.

The day of their planned escape, Jade was nowhere to be found. Slash reported that he had seen her run off with another tom just before dawn but had not bothered to chase her down as she was already too far gone. This changed Felix, he felt his emotions disappear and began going by the moniker 'Beast'. Months passed and Beast was as remorseless as ever, happy to do whatever Slash said. Until he overheard the conversation that changed it all. After his fight with Sealstar, while he was recovering from his injuries, he heard Slash bragging to another gang member about killing Jade and the improvement it had brought to Felix, now Beast. All at once his feelings returned to him and Felix attacked Slash.

He lost. Of course he did. As Felix passed out in the gang headquarters, he expected never to wake again. An uncertain amount of time later he was in fact, awoken by the healer of OceanClan. She brought him back to health and Felix discovered that the same thing had happened to Jade, now Maplestorm. The other clan members were wary of him in the beginning, only ever having known him as the ferocious Beast. Moons past and he gained his warrior name, and was eventually asked to step up as deputy. He currently spends his days with Maplestorm and hopes to one day create a new family with her. He still hears about his brothers from new clan members, but shudders at the thought of ever returning.
